But i'm not sure what it will be about.

I just know life hasn't come to a halt

Welcome to the New Year (2013)
Good-morning to you all, how are you feeling this morning? I am feeling great and that's because i just realized i am one of the 7 billion people still currently breathing and walking the surface of our mother Earth.
If you think you have nothing to be grateful for, then close your eyes for a second and think of how many people who were not giving this gracious OPPORTUNITY to cross-over into this new year.
Taking a minute to think back on the previous year looking back at different events that went down, 'Whew'!!! I wouldn't be so wrong with doing a direct comparison of my 2012 life experience with 'a ride on the roller-coaster'.
I will emphasis on the word 'OPPORTUNITY' whose basic definition means 'a good chance for advancement or progress', i will assume by now you can relate with the fact that if you are reading this, you are not only lucky to be in the new year but you still have the opportunity to advance, progress and still have a shot at been the best at whatever you want to do.
I am sure you can relate with same, maybe yours is not a roller coaster ride of events but i bet things happened that you never would have imagined.
Some of your stories were sad, good, funny, shocking, disturbing or unimaginable. Yes! but the most important thing i see now is that what truly doesn't kill you makes you stronger, so those experiences you went through last year and at that time you thought you wouldn't pull through, i hope you can give your self a round of applause because you made it.
It didn't kill you but showed you that we can't predict what happens to us or around us at all times, we can only try to be the best and strongest we can be through the experiences life unfolds and trust me when i say that no matter what you are going through, someday you are going to look back and see it as an experience.
I realized that most people try to enter into the new year making new year resolutions. If you do this every year then look back at last year's resolution and did you follow it all through? Now you most probably have made new ones, can you do yourself proud and go through with it?
Been it January 1st or any other time of the year, having to make these resolutions and abiding by them just puts you firmly at the helm of your life as you have set guides that can help you walk through.
For what its worth, you can use this strategies in building your new year resolution:
-Know your why
-Be specific
-Don't just think it, ink it
-Focus on the process
-And lastly, forgive your failures

You And That Man
You And That Man (A Reflective Read)
A young lady was waiting for her flight in the boarding room of a big airport. As she would need to wait many hours, she decided to buy a book to spend her time. She also bought a packet of cookies.
She sat down in an armchair in VIP room of the airport, to rest and read in peace. A man sat in the next seat beside the armchair where her packet of cookies lay. The man opened his magazine and started reading.
When she took out the first cookies, the man took one also.
She felt irritated but said nothing. She just thought, "What a nerve! If I was in the mood I would punch him for daring!"
For each cookie she took, the man took one too. That infuriated her but she didn't want to cause a scene.
When only one cookie remained, she thought, "Aah....! What would this abusive man do now?"
Then the man, taking the last cookie, divided it into two and gave her one half.
Now, that was too much! She was in a rage now! In a huff, she took her book and her things.
He tried to stop her, but she stormed to the boarding place.
When she sat down in her seat in the plane, she looked into her purse to take her eye glasses.
To her surprise, her packet of cookies was there, untouched, unopened! She felt so ashamed! She realized she was wrong; she had forgotten that her cookies were kept in her purse!
The man had shared his cookies with her, without feeling angry or bitter while she had been very angry, thinking that he was sharing her cookies with him.
And now there was no chance to explain herself, nor to apologize!
MORALE:
There are four things you cannot recover:
The stone...after the throw!
The word...after it has been spoken!
The occasion...after the event!
The time...after it's gone!
